We call this a `tram``` A `` trolley `` is in our country a tram with tires, no rails .Or an electric bus but overhead line/cable.
@ladydi53 I asked my husband and he said he thinks they started making this model in the 50's. Now they use light rail transit and do not use the trolleys anymore. The light rail transit cars use the same tracks as the trolleys did.
@bkbinthecity Thank you bkb. You are not able to inside this trolley but there is a trolly museum in the area that have ones you can go inside. I haven't been there in years. I'll have to go back sometime and take lots of pictures. :)
@maggie2 Thank you Margaret. You can't get into this trolley. There is a Trolley Museum, though, a distance away that does let people go into some of the trolleys, I think. I haven't been there in years. I remember they do have a short track where you can ride on one. I'll have to go back sometime.
How quaint! I am like some others up there.....to think of all the people that rode it...all those people with their important lives unfolding....and the trolley helping to get them there...wow.
