A tree without leaves by mittens

A tree without leaves

It's sad to see a bare tree in the summertime but there is still beauty in it.

Thank you very much for stopping by.
Yes it is sad to see.... Summer should be full of life, love and laughter. Great photo.

Lovely shot, sky scape...the tree must be distressed if not producing leaves

Very sad, there have been quite a few cherry trees around us that have some sort of virus. Sad to say they seem to have lost the fight to survive.

I know what you mean. Still, the light on the branches is beautiful.

I wonder why it is bare. It looks beautiful though with the light shining on it.

isn't it sad when trees don't make it though winter. You get to see the beauty of the branches which is a positive

The bare limbs look beautiful against the blue sky, but I know what you mean about it being sad. Hopefully the tree will recover.

Strange. As far as I know trees shed their leaves in Winter. Still makes for a beautiful photo.

Wonderful capture, Marilyn. I love the lighting and the clouds behind this tree. Our drought and warm/hot weather has killed many trees. Crews are out cutting down trees, removing branches and repairs are being done on homes where trees have fallen. It is so sad. Trees at our little park down the street had leaves turn brilliant Fall colors in May, leaves fell in less than a week and now in August there are new leaves. Praying for a rainy Fall, Winter and Spring. Meantime the water company or someone has decided that one time a week watering is not enough so allowing three times a week for trees no matter where they are, in lawns or along the roadway.

@darsphotos Thank you Darlene. That is sad to hear about your draught and dead trees. We had a lot of rain for the first half of the summer but now it is really dry out there and we need rain. I don't know why this tree died. It had no leaves on it even when we did have rain. Sometimes the trees here die whether we have rain or not. We did have a really bad winter last year. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Sometimes they stay dormant for a season and then suddenly spring back to life. Has a beautiful shape to its branches
