@marlboromaam The trees are so amazingly tall. And we were wondering, if these are so impressive, and they are some 20-30 m high, how would we feel about a sequoia?
@monikozi Often when you take a photo of a scene you "see" things without being consciously aware of it. When you look at the image afterwards and analyze it you "discover" and explain all the details in the photo. You may not have planned it but it is creativity at work.
I think we are all very quick to criticize our mistakes but we should also pat ourselves on our backs when we get things right.
@helstor365 Oh, that is one perspective I did not take... So you are saying that the brain / eye / intuition start to put things together unconsciously? That is really something!
The thing is that yesterday I saw a video about a guy who was sketching out his intended photos. I am not sure, but he might have been a professional photographer. I have never done that: sketching out something, and I did a looooot of various crafts. The very accomplished crafters (whatever the craft) mentioned designing things, putting things on paper. I never did that. I always went with the flow. Of course, I could never compare and never became a professional of anything. But I think that is a way of working that fits some and does not fit others.
And yes, I am a champion at self-criticism. And I am in the process of learning to pat my own back for the occasional good stuff.
Thank you so much for your insight.
I wish I could say that it was a planned and the setup was thought through. But I can't.
