Wet Little Birdie

On Monday, Mum and Dad got a huge Ghost Gum cut down. Two Magpie nests were in it. This is one of them; and this little bird was one of the surviving two baby birds that Dad picked up. The parents of this little guy are grateful that he's alive and well; and that he's back in his nest.

I took this shot from the bedroom window my parents' house as it was too wet outside; and I don't think the parents would have liked me hanging around their young with a camera.

Happy to hear the babies have survived but be careful of those protective parents. They can be vicious.

Only one of the birds survived unfortunately; but the mama and papa birds are grateful that at least one did. :)
