On Monday one of our dear friends passed away from Prostate Cancer. Today he was laid to rest. The service was at St Peter and Paul's Catholic Church at Morningside. It's a beautiful church where Ted Lane and his wife were married. And it was right to have his service here.
His burial was at Hemman Cemetery. I've never been to a burial before and I found it very touching. However it was a very hot day and we were hiding under our sun umbrellas to keep out of the sun.

@bkbinthecity@annelis Thank you both for your lovely comments. Ted will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. His whole family was there and it had been a long time since we all last saw each other. It's always at weddings or funerals where you seem to catch up with everyone isn't it? Sad but true.
