Destructive Little Critters!

I have a problem with grasshoppers!

I have tried white oil, flour and plainly just flicking them off the plant, but I want to know what else I can do to get rid of them! They're destroying my poor little plant by my door! :(

It looks like you have been over run with hoppers. I wonder if there is some sort of spray or treatment to deter them.

@digitalrn This morning, I tried out diluted cayan peppers... which detered the ones on the plant... but there were others which came back a few hours later. :(
