Yesterday, I went to the waterfront and had a swim. But the waves were a little too choppy for me; thus my swimming title of 'the brick' came into play! hahaha... yes, once I'm knocked over in the water, I can't get up - not safe.
So, I spent most of my time walking along the beach in the shallows looking for shells. I found most of these beautiful ones, brought them back and Mum gave me some of hers to add to my collection.
I'll keep them on my kitchen counter to remind me of the ocean... as I don't get to it often enough. :)
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@wendyfrost@digitalrn thank you both for your lovely comments. I do enjoy sea shells; even though you don't find good big ones anymore... and in some places around the world it's illegal to take them home. However, people do pay big money for good ones. I picked up some that were just pretty and that I liked. There were others, but I threw them back... I wanted mainly blue, peach, brownish or white... and I tried to get whole shells and not partial. Tiny holes were okay, but not big ones.
So, yeah, I was fussy. :)
