Some creativity is important in most occupations or situations. Don't "think outside the box" because that is where everyone is looking for those new ideas. Get rid of those boxes all together.
Kathy, you have done almost everything! And beautifully. OK. Your challenge this week is "Minimalist, like Zen". Yes, you have to go see what Zen (branch of Buddhism famous in Japan) paintings of the old days (minimalist) are like and shoot a zen stile minimalism! Enjoy!
@myhrhelper ha ha ha :-) Let me know if you can't find anything on Zen's minimalist arts! I will give you a few links later...may be tomorrow (now it's 1am here)
@summerfield Let's do it soon ! I don't k now if this one is oil in water or decorative paper under glass with oil or water drops on top of glass? Not sure!
@espyetta - good idea. except that kathy @myhrhelper posted something like this before explaining how she did it and she's taken it down i think as i can't find it. care to share it again, kathy, please and thank you?
This is the other one I did which I like better than this one.
I took a clear glass baking dish and filled it with water. I put two chairs next to each other with just a small gap between them. I took a broom & mop stick handles and rested them across the bottom of the chair so I am able to set a box or something on top of the broom/mop stick handles. I put something colorful on top of the box (the box just adds a little height and makes a bit of ta table. Then I have the edge of the two chairs hold up clear glass baking dish so the design is some distance underneath the clear glass. Then I took a flash light and angled it so that it shines on the cd's or paper. I used olive oil (which is a little thicker) and dribbled it on the water. Then I took pictures at different angles . @summerfield@espyetta
Always wanted to try this. :)
