@myhelper
Kathy,
I just noticed something strange. A person (Diovanna Colth) started following me, and I see she follows you as well. She has no photos or followers, but follows 50 people. This makes me uncomfortable that she is able to see all the photos I post, especially the ones on my granddaughter. I'm going to bring this to Ross's attention. What do you think?
@deburahiru I do think it is a bit odd, this person is following 50 people and has no followers or pictures. I thought well it is possible that this individual is planning to start but hasn't yet. I can tell by the placement of her (I'm assuming) name that she has been following me for awhile already (couple months perhaps). This person may like photography and decided to sign up for that reason, either way it is a bit unusual. Personally I feel if you don't have personal information such as address, phone, e-mail, or ways to identify who you are it shouldn't make you nervous since they have no way to find you. I do think because you post children on your project always be mindful not to give clues how to find you (or them) and you should be safe.
Sometimes I will go by a nick name when I mention a child such as "C Dog" etc.
You go by the name Deb on 365 and there are millions of Deb's all over. Also even fellow photographers on 365 doesn't mean they are good, honest or respectable people only that they have somewhat of an interest in photography. So we should keep that in mind regardless of what we post. Deb I really thank you for bringing this to my attention, it is a good reminder that there are people out there (even fellow 365'rs) that we know nothing about and should always proceed with caution of what we post.
@deburahiru@myhrhelper Kathy and Deb I hope this might ease your mind some. I have a friend (not the person mentioned here), that does not take photos (I haven't figured out what is wrong with her), but loves looking at photos and is a follower of me and a few other friends active in the project. This person might have gotten involved the same way. Deb, as Kathy said, she really can't do anything without something more to go on. Be very careful of the content that you submit. I do hope this helps easy your minds.
