@attraversi Here is my first attempt to answer your get-pushed challenge for me. I am thinking about doing more shots of different types of reflection. Please feel free to let me know what you think - suggestions are also welcome.
Very nice! And appropriate for NYE too, I like it a lot :) I feel that the bokeh perhaps steals the spotlight a bit in this photo though. Then again my attention always tend to focus on bokeh whenever it's in a photo, lol. If I had any suggestions for reflections I would say that windows are a great place to look. They can be a wonderful canvas for scenes, maybe? Something to think about!
Love the shot! We have similar ones going right now! :-) Maybe it's my monitor, but that frame color detracts rather than adds for me. Hope your 2013 is as bright and sparkly as this photo! :-)
Beautiful! Im having a hard time finding a csc host. Jerry would do it again if necessary, but he isnt clamoring to do it. Should I start a general discussion thread to seek a volunteer? Any ideas on a setting you would still like to see explored?
@rockinrobyn I can see if I can find a host. Also I could host one if you would like. There are some basic things that have never been covered in our Camera Settings Challenge that I think should be covered such as "manual focus". I would cover that if you want. Otherwise I can ask a few people as well if you want me to.
@rockinrobyn Also if there is something you would like to cover that is an option as well. some of the things we have never covered include: active dlighting, various types of focus such as manual, metering - spot, center, matrix. Also, I don't think it would be a bad idea just to have a very simple challenge for those who just got a brand new DSLR and we could have one on A or S priority but have a setting we didn't have such as freeze motion. We could do one on S priority or M depending on their comfort and have a setting to freeze action without blurr. Perhaps some of these topics you would be willing to cover or I could find someone.
@myhrhelper if you're up for one on manual focus that works for me. I could pull resources for active d lighting or metering, but I am in no way knowledgable about either. Metering I sort of get. I tend r leave it on spot though. I have never used active d lighting. That was a topic I first suggested to Jerry.
@rockinrobyn Perhaps we could team host. I would post it but I would mention that we are team hosting this challenge and of course encourage other experienced photographers to join.
@rockinrobyn I will work on putting something together. Anything you find that should be included please send to me (e-mail is in on my profile description). I will have something posted this evening or some time tomorrow at the latest. OR if you would like to post it that would be great - it is totally up to you. Just so you know, I am not claiming to be an expert at this but it isn't a topic I feel would be too difficult to cover either.
Thanks for your help & comments in 2012 too. I appreciate it.
I saw the glasses in a china Cabinet and they had nothing in them.
