This wasn't taken for the beauty of the photo but ONLY for the camera settings challenge. It is cold outside so I take photos in the house. This was looking at the neighbors yard. I focused on a little white patch on the little red roof which is about the center of the phone.
I @httpgeffed@foxsparrow I have been struggling too. I didn't understand. My camera does the spot, center and matrix metering setting. I Found a spot outside (since there is bright snow) I held the shutter down 1/2 way and then I took a photo. I did this for all 3 settings. I notice the difference for the lights and darkest, but the two look almost the same to me. I hardly noticed the difference in the camera.
