I don't wanna go, I don't wanna stay, So there's nothing left to say
Another bad day, lets just give up on the week? :p
Btw, I've decided for art, I'm going to do cultural diversity (maybe with a bit of mirrors?) but I'm going to base it on British cultures and steryotypes, within teenage years (eg "chavs", "emos" etc), age steryotypes and county steryotypes. I'm starting with the north/south divide because I find it fairly interesting :p If anyone has any ideas/inspiration/input that'd be great :]
I don't know why I took this pic. Saw some cirly paper in art and thought it looked pretty :p Made some at home and edited it a lot xD Once I'd uploaded it, I realised how many connotations it has, I guess you could say I am very 'curled up' right now, in a not-so-literal sense (also sometimes a very literal sense :p) Also, a lot of things are very out of focus right now. I have no idea if that made sense to anyone but me :')
Oh, Naomi, I wish I could hug you. Just look at it as a glass half full not gone. I love this picture and how you used black and white. You're so talented. Best wishes
I see the curly-q as whimsical, but it is tempered with a gray, sad background. It's like you're trying very hard to get your happiness back, but you aren't quite there. At least this is what I see from the photo and what you are writing. So for me, this is very creatively genius. I think it speaks for you quite loud and clear.
Maybe for the project, you can photograph people, how they see themselves, and then for the mirror part, how they think others view them. What kind of mask do they put on for other people? What are they really like when the mask is removed? Does this help?
I think it makes perfect sense. Can't wait to see your photos for your cultural diversity project! You've given me an idea for some photos of my own, so thank you for the inspiration.
You have a great eye Naomi, this is a really nice shot. I'd be interested in what you do with your "stereotype" project. It sort of reminds me of another thing on the internet that captured how people all dressed the similar. I'd give you a link but for the life of me can't remember anything about it (I'll hit the googles)
This is a lovely shot.
I agree, you've got a lot of talent. This one is excellently composed, and I love the simplicity of it. My cat was just sitting right next to the monitor and pawed at this curled-up thingy in your picture, she loves things like that. So cute! :-)
I think your art idea is cool too. Teenagers sure are diverse!
