Still not feeling 100% but at least I'm a little more alive today xD I've realised I'm going to have to teach myself the entire product design theory, blergh -.- Might buy a pretty notebook tomorrow :p I made some flapjack when I got home...hence this picture :p I can't say I'm really a fan of flapjack but apparently we have the best flapjack recipe ever xD Hope you're all doing alright :]
Looks yummy! What is flapjack? Looks like oatmeal cookie? Oh, I see now you have oats in the tags. We call pancakes flapjacks sometimes but this looks much better :)
@pfmandeville In the UK, there is a whole different understanding of the word 'flapjack'. It caused me endless confusion when I first moved here. Contrary to Naomi's claim, in fact *I* have the best flapjack recipe ;o) which is on my cookery blog, as it happens, and that particular post also includes an explanation of the confusion around the name. http://karynkitchen.blogspot.com/2011/03/sarahs-delicious-flapjacks.html
@karynromeis Oh my, that does sound good. I like Oatmeal cookies but purely caramelized oats sound yummy, too. I'm not sure what golden syrup is, though I can guess. And, btw, I've never heard the word "crumpets" used by any American ever :) (admittedly I don't have occasion to socialize with a wide variety of cultures, though I'd love to!)
Naomi, have a look at my 'crunchies' recipe. I can't link to it from my phone, but you can find it in the recipe index. Maybe closer to your liking. :o)
So, is this a flapjack? Different from my understanding...now, without giving away your secret recipe, can you give me a general rundown of what's in these magnificent looking flapjacks? Inquiring minds are dying to know...
