'Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.'
If you've not listened to the song Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann, then go listen to it :]
I went to the Loughborough university open day today. It was sort of helpful in that I realised I definitely don't want to do Design, Psychology or Human Biology. I think I'm going to do a straight Biology degree and then do a PGCE and become a secondary school teacher.
you'll get there girlfriend! I had my whole life planned out when I was your age, and it didn't even happen like I planned. I'd take the journey all over again. You can't rely on planning out your future, just let it happen and let your dreams guide you. Best of luck.
great shot - well, at least you've decided some of the things you definitley DON'T want to do - that's a really great start, and it sounds like you have a plan...time for a chill out for you methinks!
Life is overwhelming when you think about everything all at once. Slow down and just take it one step at a time. But I think it's perfect that you are considering being a secondary teacher!!! :) That makes me smile...as does this picture.
Knowing what you don't want to do is probably more important than knowing what you don't want to do at this stage.
Don't worry it will all fall into place when it needs to.
Cute photo too.
Great advice in Sunscreen. Whoever posted that song also posted Johnny Cash's Hurt...if you've never listened to that, it's pretty awesome. I like your photo, the message and the sunlight mixes well.
Great quote. The speaker at my first uni graduation based their address on that song :) Good luck with whatever you choose. Make sure you get involved in some of the science outreach programmes out there if you want to get into science teaching - they're so much fun and a great way to network with schools and make sure it's for you.
Don't worry it will all fall into place when it needs to.
Cute photo too.
