'Everybody's got a hold on hope, It's the last thing that's holding me'
Every street is
Dark and folding
Out mysteriously
Well that's the chance we take
To be
Always working
Reaching out for
A hand that we can't see
Everybody's got a hold on hope
It's the last thing that's holding me
Invitation
To the last dance
Then it's time to leave
That's the price we pay
When we deceive
One another
And the mother
She opens up for free
Everybody's got a hold on hope
It's the last thing that's holding me
Look at the talk box
And in frustration
At the station
There hides the cowboy
Look at the talk box
And your frustration
At the station
There hides the cowboy
His campfire flickering
On the landscape
But nothing goes on
Time still goes on
Through each life of misery
Everybody's got a hold on hope
It's the last thing that's holding me -Hold On Hope, Guided By Voices
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, just to let you all know :]
I went to Nottingham Uni Open Day today, with my Mum. It was really good, actually. The campus is beautiful. I was looking at Biology. And I found out that you can take Biological Photography and Imaging as a module in your 3rd year and then continue it as an MSci for a fourth year! How good is that?! The rest of the course looks good, too. It's really broad and there's lots of flexibility and there's even some ethics in there which is always interesting. :] I wasn't going to apply this year but now I'm considering applying for deferred entry...though that would mean that I need to sort out a personal statement... Oh, also, my hoverfly picture (http://365project.org/naomi/365/2011-08-20) won first prize in the village show. My village has a population of about 2, and I only really entered to support it... but hey, I got a certificate xD
That university course sounds great and I'm so pleased to hear you so positive about it. Congratulations on winning first prize in the village show - that's great.
Awesome photo too.
Sounds like you're getting a good track on what you want to do. And Congrats on that photo! I know it was a Fav for me! I like this...it's like you're wishing on a star for hope. Very nice.
I've visited Nottingham Uni before - it's a great place! Glad you enjoyed the open day. Congratulations on your picture win too! (And I love this shot!)
Awesome photo too.
