Can't say I'm a huge fan of the snow, but it does give nice lighting for portraits. I didn't have anyone to take a portrait of so took one of myself, lol.
I'm really not liking my editing skills at the moment. Please could someone tell me how they'd have edited this? All I've done is up the shadow slightly and that's literally it. I use Picassa normally but also have access to Serif PhotoPlus which is similar to photoshop. I'm also completely clueless... Thanksss :]
I really like what turned out.You could try to play a little with Picnick(you still have some time, considering tat in a few months the site will be closed).Since you can enjoy of all the premium facilities, you could try what you have there.
i posted an edit in your thread. you can use a good split tone with some olive and lilac, and also increase the tempertaure a bit. this is a really great starting point, and snow can be tricky on the white balance settings. do you have a "beach" setting on your WB?
@sdpace Thank you (: No I don't, I realised I had it on the 'flourescent' setting, though :p And you're right, it is really hard to get WB right in snow, I would probably have done better to have it on 'auto' but I didn't realise. I saw your edit on my thread which was fantastic. I'm not entirely sure what a split tone is...?x
gorgeous! actually, what i really like about this is the slight blue cast to it, it sort of gives it a icy, cold feeling to me. i also really like the way your eyes stand out and the bit of curly hair on the side!
I think is such a beautiful selfie. Personally, I probably would have uped the warmth a bit to get rid of the "blue" color hue. And then pulled out the detail of the eyes a bit. But the way it is right now is beautiful too!!
