Today I woke up to a phonecall from N. She has flu. I had breakfast then went straight round. The children are D, 2.5, L, 2.5 and E, just 4. I got them dressed and out the house, pushed the double buggy and walked E up a hill to preschool dropped L off, walked to nursery, dropped E off, walked to playgroup. Spent a few hours at playgroup with D. Walked back to their house, sorted their lunch. Ran to mine, had 10 mins to grab lunch. Ran back to their’s, went to preschool and picked L up. Took him to Anna’s house where I looked after E+I (nearly 2). So looked after L, E+I for a few hours. Walked L back home, he wanted to walk not take the buggy. So I pushed the buggy and held his hand the whole way back...
...and all the way back, L and I kept looking for the moon (it was about 5pm and the moon and sun were showing), and then it kept hiding behind the clouds, so we had to keep trying to find it again, and it just reminded me why I love working with kids :)
