My head is all of a confusion over anorexia. How do you know if the decision you're making is recovery or relapse when it's a new and confusing decision? This lactose intolerance thing is such a pickle. If you're making a 'recovery' decision, not an 'anorexia' decision, but it's not a 'you' decision, then is it still anorexia being in control just in the opposite way?
Richard is right. When there is so much confusion you don't know which way to turn, it is time to let someone help who can make an objective decision or suggestion or just help you quiet your mind a bit. I hope you decide to call a friend or someone who helps you professionally. We worry about you, Naomi. Please take gentle care of yourself.
perhaps the WORRY about the decision is the anorexia talking... the decision not to eat lactose (if its making you feel icky when you eat it ) is a pragmatic decision, a healthy decision. . but yes i agree with Richard, get all the support you need to get the worry in check. x
Questions are good if they help you to make healthy decisions. And I think your questions are spot on. You do have to make choices about WHAT food to eat- not whether to eat or not. That's the difference. This is where your support group and mentors will be able to educate you on the difference. A nutritionist who understands anorexia might be helpful too- they can help you plan an eating regimen or list of foods to eat so that when it's time to eat you can pick and choose things that will make you feel good. I know for me when I first started removing glutten and nightshades from my diet to help alleviate my arthritis having a list of things I shouldn't eat really helped. As for this picture- I don't think it's a mess at all- I really like it. And it makes me think of another aspect of you- every plant needs water- sometimes in big doses- but sometimes as soft as a dew drop. Your journey to health is similar to a plant. You needed a big dose of water when you entered the hospital. But now you need dew drops from your support system. So call someone and ask your questions. I know you will figure it out because you've figured out so much already. hugs!
I simply do not know the answer to your question. But I do care that you continue to make progress. I guess there are years of learned patterns of wrong thinking that have to be undone and they are bound to raise an ugly head, hear and there. Take care - you are precious. Oh and this is a gorgeous image

Your image is amazing!
The reasons more worse. You are who you are because you think you are. Try to control thinking.
Sometimes I just want to stop thinking so much … I wish your mind would slow down and give you some peace.
This picture is magical.
