i'm not sure how much credit i can take for this... the light was exquisite because the photo walk organizer planned for us to be at Ireland Park (from where this was taken) at twilight... and nik silver fx kinda did the rest with comparatively little tweaking... admittedly i waited for the bird to enter the frame and picked the nik preset, but apart from that i was a comparative bystander...
for some reason this keeps making me think of Yeats poem "the Second Coming"... no clue why - i doubt that's a falcon, in some respects the image is more "sin city" than the apocalypse, but presumably i am permitted my flight of fancy and i've always loved the line: "things fall apart; the centre cannot hold"...
Great skyline shot. I think it's a little more than just being at the right place at the right time because of a photo walk. You have to have the eye to see it and the know-how to photograph it! Which you most definitely do.
wow! if i wasn't there, i'd have thought this would've been taken much much later. you really know how to deal with light. great processing, as per usual.
You know if I ever think about doing something else other than 365 and photos it is shots like this that keep me coming back. Because I want to get to the point I can throw up photos like this. I think understanding light is a big part of it. You can say you were a by stander but really you have to know the settings to use and understand the light and then understand the preset that will give the best results.
