This is The Church of Latter-day Saints in La Jola, CA. Its an amazing piece of architecture. Rumor is, when it opened they gave a tour and then ripped up all the tile so that only members would be the only ones to walk on the floor...? I don't know, but I love this building!
Wow! What a stunning building! The Mormon church in our city is also one of my favorite pieces of local architecture. There is something about how airy and uplifting it is.
I worked on a project for the Mormon Church in Philadelphia and they told us it would be open for one weekend so we could see the results. So I am sure the tile really was ripped up.
I like your decision to do black and white, I think the subtle contrast between the spires and the clouds really works.
Nice presentation, before a temple is dedicated(?) the Mormons allow non-members to go through the structure. We went through the temples in Silver Springs, MD and Lake Oswego, OR
