I have a dictionary app on my phone that sends me a word of the day. A little late for a theme but I thought, how fun to take a shot that goes along with the word of the day! This is my one and only attempt, until next 365! One year ago (before 365) I would have driven right passed this scene not even paying attention let alone stopping and taking a picture...what a difference a year makes!
Isn't that the truth! I can relate to inadvertance....taking all the beauty in my world for granted before...now I stop and take several photos of the same spot again and again! Amazing photo by the way!
wow and to think a year ago I would have seen it, driven past, gone three miles and turned back to make sure I got it. Now I sit and try to come up with ways to make it different so I would have scaled down the embankment. I still love a great landscape. When we get to Y2 Layers of Interest in a Photo this will be the example.
Salute to a strong finisher! Congratulations, Jerry! You have been a great inspiration, Jerry. Hope to see you around for your Year 2. This one is another FAV!
This is beautiful. And you are correct. I never go anywhere without my camera. It is amazing how we look at things differently through our camera lens now.
Love the scene, and the word idea! Funny how the requirement to find your shot every day changes perspective. I'm glad you didnt pass this by! Beautiful!
This is gorgeous, and I agree - the project is life changing. Don't you see more beauty every single day? I love the idea of a word of the day. Very cool. I'm glad you will be sticking around. I love your photos.
Beautiful shot...My friend and I do not go anywhere without our cameras. Sometimes we are later to where we are going because we are always stopping to take pictures!
ohhh I love it! May I borrow this picture to illustrate a short novel I wrote and published on a French amateur website? No profit is made of it of course, that's just exactly how I picture the last place the hero goes through! I would keep the copyright of course :-)
Jerry, I keep coming back here to see how you will end your year. The end of year photo froze me up too, but then I just got it over with, and it was a pretty lame photo, but it had meaning to me and one other person on 365 who inspired me the most.
@lauriehiggins I know! I have a shot in mind but the weather wont let me! I know likely excuse! i promise I'll post it tomorrow! i think there is some kind of subconscious force preventing me from posting my last pic!
@orangecrush It is fun to take pictures with someone else. My son was riding a fresh horse and the horse started bucking, I did not have my camera for some reason, my friend did so she was telling him to stay on, I realized she was not taking pictures.I yelled at her to take the pictures. She did and we have some awesome pictures.
Actually, I've got a mystery pug mix named Milo (see my Jan 5th and 17th pix). Some think he's a puggle, some say he's a Jug (pug/jack russell). We originally thought he was a chug (pug/chihuahua) when we rescued him. Either way, he's a lovable, silly something-ug for sure! :)
@jsw0109 Hey, Jeff! Sorry, I just read your post! I did mine in Corel Draw and then loaded it into PS. I know there is a better way! I cant change the tone or color of it, which sucks when I have a dark photo! Now that I've been using PS for a while now, I might have done it with texts there but i have gotten so used to it now.
Breathtakingly beautiful. Congrats on finishing your year. I am well into year two. I have made some very good friends and continue to learn, admire and share. It is a great community. Enjoy your break.
