I love this one, the way the shape of the tree and the shape of the clay(?) outcrop complement each other, like butterfly wings circling around the exact center of the picture. compositionally perfect and the color contrast is striking, too. nice!
That is a great tree. Funny how people have their favourite trees isn't it? We have this guy Ray Mears who is a survival expert and really into nature and living wild he does TV and he says he sees the trees as his friends :-)
