I don't know if all of you have heard of this, but today is "Black Friday". Its a crazy day us Americans get up and shop at 4:00 am! I have never participated in this but I know a lot of people that do! I guess you get great deals! We have a Best Buy, a electronics store, in our neighborhood and people were camping out since Wednesday!
I took a walk this morning to try to recover from last night and witnesses some of the craziness!

From what I've heard on the news, I'd stay away from Walmart if I were you! Our stores are starting to follow your lead and doing the black friday stuff....to keep us Canadians from flocking down there to shop. There's NO way I'm going anywhere near a mall today.

Well Jerry I spotted something called black Saturday on Amazon which last one week ' half price deals, which last a couple hours each day ' & I managed ( or my sons did ) to bag adobe lighthouse 3 for half price , so although we don't get it on the high street ( yet) we sort of share it via the net ... Have a good weekend buddy , nice image too (;
Jerry, how strange is that. I seen people in lines 5 hours before the store was to open and there were fights by our local Walmart.

Black Friday sounds like a nightmare. I hate doing my grocery shopping at month end because the shops are so busy. That sounds a hundred times worse. This, however, is beautiful!
Nice to know someone wasn't shopping that day. I had to work out in that mess. I would have much rather been where ever you were. So peaceful and calm.
Wow - what a calming scene in contrast to the shopping madness! Very tranquil:) Glad you didn't partake in the insanity, I'm willing to pay full price for my purchases just to avoid that kind of ridiculousness!
what could anyone need that badly as to camp out for 2 days at BestBuy??? This photo is the perfect juxtaposition to the madness that is Black Friday. the Light is so ethereal.
I have done black Friday in previous years but didn't this year. Love this scene wouls much rather soak in some of this natural beauty than take part in the madness of black Friday.

I like the softness of this .. it brings a feeling of peace.. and I went to ONE black Friday event.. when the cops were called because of the dudes fist fighting I swore .. just like Poe's Raven.. Ne'er more......

lovely soft colours and focus - great shot and a far better way to spend Black Friday. We couldn't miss it, Amazon has been sending me daily e-mails to encourage me to buy from their Black Friday sale
