Street shot - day 4 one night stand challenge.
My hats off to those of you out there who make street photography look so easy! I must have driven around town for an hour or so trying to get something worth posting! I should have listened to Paula @brumbe and stayed in one spot with a glass of wine and waited! :o)
I love how this is getting me out of my comfort zone! I'm actually intrigued by the excitement of street photography but I'll wait until I have more time! Tomorrow, Selfie!
Here is the link to the original challenge page so you can share your pics or just check whats next in line! http://365project.org/discuss/general/12282/one-night-stand-challenge
I just wish you didn't include the Selfie ...I might have to skip that one! I hide behind the camera for a reason!!! lol. Your street shot is great! I love it!!
Good for you Jerry. This is well worth the effort. I missed your challenge as I haven't been around as much for viewing etc, but it looks like lots of fun. I'll have a quick look through the thread now :)
@jsw0109 I cant wait to check it out! @kerristephens Thanks, Kerri! @ellimae Lol! Stop! ;) You don't need a face shot! Take a pic of your feet or shoulder...My Selfie is tomorrow, I might take my own advice! ;) @kiwichick Thank you, Lesley! Its been a lot of fun! @lorihiro I need to take some tips from you! My main problem is taking the time! It takes patience to be at the right spot at the right time! @jenrobcarr Thank you, Jennifer! I'm having fun with it!
I didn't do the one night stand challenge this time, but I'm in next time...
I do love what you've done with it though.
I love street photography, the idea and the challenge, its scary though.
I'm generally not a patient person but I agree with Paula, better to stop in one spot and wait for the shot than run around looking for it, it seems to work better.
Well done :)
@nikkic Thank you, Nikki! :) @bdb3471 Lol! I think the selfie is the most challenging! I'm sure learning my weaknesses! @monika64 Thank you so much, Monika! I agree! I found the chances of being at the right spot at the right time is almost impossible while driving! :)
i like your processing and the graininess of this shot. I think it is a great street shot!!! if you had to find something to take in my town, you woud still be driving around! lol.
Jerry, this is an amazing capture, it tells the story all on its own. This is a wonderful Street Photography entry, LOVE IT!!!
ps: selfie....really...?!?!...did you hear me cursing your name last night while I struggled with that one...! I still haven't got what I wanted for that one, so am now having to double up with the SOOC shot for today...sigh....selfies....bah humbug!!! :-)
Excellent street shot, I'd love to try it as there are loads of occasions where I'm driving that I think wow I'd love to stop & photograph him/her but normally it's in really dodgy areas & there's more than one person around so I'm too scared!
You street photo is awesome, Jerry, and your processing is stellar! This is a wonderful scene you've captured. Look at how attentive that little doggy is. Food must be involved. Street photography can be scary. The last time I tried it I had two homeless people follow me because they wanted my camera. For your challenge I took an easier route and photographed my son.
this is awesome street shots are hard and I'm so shy..I saw these kids skateboarding by this old building the other day and I wanted to stop and take picture but just couldn't! But anyways I do love this picture!
@kerristephens Thanks, Kerri!
