@orangecrush me! I didn't have to Google (goodness only knows why I knew, but all the mediaeval streets had symbolic signs outside the shops, rather than words as people couldn't read and this is one of them)
I love these too and your treatment of it is simply perfect. Somehow you've captured a vintage look in the light and colors that match the subject matter perfectly, Jerry!
Great find Jerry - Apparently the combination of red/white & blue stripes is an American variation on the more usual red & white poles - I had a quick nosey on Ebay and apparently a new pole can be bought for $69.50 (American) and a restored antique one for $2600.00! so you've literally captured treasure! Your dof is beautiful and allows the textures of the shop wall to 'shine' too
@orangecrush I don't think I'll ever get used to 365 not having a "like" button... I tried liking your comment LOL. a lot of us will be here to welcome you back when you do return!
Nice to see you again...I took a year off & your shots are awesome!! Such an inspiration. I have a soft spot in my heart for barber poles as my dad is a classic men's barber! Thanks for a great shot & a great memory.
Hey Jerry whats up? You been posting somewhere else? Flickr? Im on Flickr theses days and loving the sharp resolution and user groups. Missing your talent buddy. Hope all is well.
Hi Michael! We have been moving into a new house and it has taken tons of work and time! I remember the good old days when I could fit all my stuff in my car! :o) We're finally moved in and I am ready to get back to posting! Thanks for checking in! Now I need to go and check out your Flickr account!
Great POV & detail...love the rich color and contrast.
