We do this project to look back on and remember the year. When I look back on mine and I can always tell when work is crazy or when I have time to go out and enjoy myself taking pics! :o) Its so much more challenging to find something around the house and make it interesting!
I picked this flower from my neighbors yard! Shhhh! :o)
If you ever try to do a droplet on a leaf or flower try using saline. It sticks better and stands up better! This flower is pretty small, that's why that droplet looks about the size of olive!
That water droplet is amazing. The reflection on it is so clear. (Flowery backdrop?) It looks perfectly round and just about solid! Fantastic shot, Jerry!
@jsw0109 It does! I couldn't believe how round it looked when I down loaded it! @kerristephens Thanks, Kerri! @pocketmouse Thank you so much, Teresa! :) @olgairb Thank you very much, Olga! :) @veg66 Lol! Your too kind! ;) Thank you, Joanne! @tesssa Thank you, Tessa! @marlboromaam Thanks, Maggie! I read about it in a magazine once! :) @maggiemae Thank you so much, Maggiemae! Love this Jerry, perfect DOF and focus. LOL to looking back to when you're busy in the project! A random picture in my album denotes "help" moments! ;o)
I was going to Fav anyway because this is a beautiful image but knowing you take the time and care to create it makes me appreciate it even more. Great work Jerry.
Gorgeous! I'll try that tip next time! I agree, taking something at home and making the pic interesting is hard. For me too, home shots reflect my lack of time to go out, unfortunately.
Thanks for the tip Jerry, I will be trying that out, just confirmed with my husband that we do have saline in the medicine cabinet ;) Wonderful shot, gorgeous flower and perfect drop! Fav!
Spectacular!!! Your words made me smile too. My work has been murder lately. Thanks for the saline tip, Jerry! I still have not taken any good water droplet photos, so I might try that some day soon.
So you are saying this is the photo you produce when you are BUSY? Oh my! I am in awe then! Fav! And when I am busiest, which is in May, as the school year is ending, I shoot a lot of bad pics. This is gorgeous
@espyetta Lol! I've noticed, sometimes the quick, not planned shots come out better then the thought out and set up shots! Funny! Thank you very much for the sweet comment, Marybeth! :)
So many people are buying glass domes and here you show we can all use saline droplets for a similar effect, on a smaller scale. Really lovely picture.
