So there is a small freeway that goes from the beautiful coast and takes you east out to the middle of know where. Along this freeway is a bridge that spans over a small valley. Throughout my days here on 365 I have tried many attempts at this bridge from standing on the edge of it, shooting it from a distance, I even tried standing in the middle of it and shoot oncoming traffic! Nothing! I refuse to accept that it is just a boring bridge! Well yesterday I slipped into my hiking shoes grabbed my camera bag and a water and set out to hike the valley and get a shot from underneath that thing...as you can see, I found this tiny weed more exciting! :o)
Its not you bridge, its me. I am holding you back! I think its time we go our own separate ways! ;)
This is starting to become the "where's Jerry" game to me! Lol! Sorry about your relationship with the bridge...I'm sure there's plenty of others in the sea! :)
Love the rich color, DOF and sharpness in this shot.
Such a pretty flower! Don't you just hate it when you find a subject that you know is fantastic but you just don't seem to be able to make it work in a photograph?
Had you cropped out everything and just shown the purple flower, it would be less of a photograph. I love the monocromatic feel and the one pop of color. Sorry about the bridge. I know how you feel!
A beautifully made photo. Bummer about your relationship to the bridge. You are not alone in seeing one thing in you mind's eye and not being able to capture what you want with your lens. :)
love the commentary! I know how frustrating it can be to keep on trying for the perfect shot. . .sorry you have had to break up with the bridge, but I know you'll find us another one!
I like the context of this image more than the image itself, to be honest (no offense intended, of course; it's just that I have my share of flowery fields). But, there's something about the juxtaposition in this photo - this pretty little weed being ignored by everyone in the fast lane its whole lifetime, while one person takes the time to stop and make it part of his world. This is a very beautiful image with its story attached :) Thanks for sharing.
Love the rich color, DOF and sharpness in this shot.
@nanalisarocks Thank you so much, Lisa! :)
No I am so curious about the bridge... Well, we will see can you resist shooting it :)
This was a very under the bridge shot!
