So I went to the water front today to shoot some pics of the Star of India. This is a historical ship that is docked in our harbor. On my little walk to the ship I passed this man and did my best hip shot. Turned out to be the best shot I took today!
Awesome shot! I have to tell you I've been practicing that hip shot since you got that challenge, lol. It's quite difficult! Love the tone to this shot!!
This is beautiful Jerry! the tones, the composition, everything.... I don't know why I'm missing out on your uploads, must be the time we are awake I guess :) catching up now but this is a fav!
A few people have said that you don't appear in their news feeds, I'm one of them too? Perhaps it's because you have soooo many followers the poor ol 365 machinery can't spread you around 1,000 + every day! This is a perfect candid photo, sums up the spirit of the marina and ship.... All the more so as shot from the hip! I've tried that technique a few times with a few lucky successes!
Another Fav Jerry! i love the whole compositon! i love the angle it has seems so fitting for a person on a boat! your b&w is a fab choice and it just brings me back to another time! love it!
a hip shot?!!? i couldnt even get a shot like this if i tried on purpose! you blow my mind, lol. And now you have 24 fav's on this shot :) AWESOME AWESOME!
Another fav from me Jerry. This is such a great image. I love the high key background, the naturalistic image and even the wonky horizon hasn't put me off ;o) in fact it adds a certain something to the shot xx
