I really make these girls work for their prizes! :o)
My girls are into these dolls called, Monster High. If your familiar, you know how crazy girls are going over them! If your not familiar, they are like Barbies but they are daughters and sons of monsters, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf-man...ect. I thought of this great idea for a pic and made them pose before they got their prize! They are getting to the age where this kind of stuff is very embarrassing! I think I'll need to find different models soon! :o)
Tomorrow is my first post for the One Night Stand challenge! Here is a link if you need it! http://365project.org/discuss/general/15687/one-night-stand-again
Thank you all so much for all the comments and favs! You guys are awesome!
@orangecrush Oh I can tell that look a mile away!!!! :) Stiff body pushed out lover lip...no eye contact!!! lol.,....ive got lots of girls ..embarresed is the word!...dont worry they get over it! :)
What a laugh! They have that "are we done yet" look about them!
The contraption behind them reminds me of an industrial sewing machine needle connection!
Wonder if it really sinks in with them that it's the whole world viewing them looking most unimpressed with their father. Then you can embarrass them all over again at their 21st birthdays, running a slideshow of the images you've taken for 365.
@salza I'm with Sally. It reminded me of a robotic arm. Curious to know what it is, Jerry.
Absolutely brilliant! and how wonderful that girls are playing with dolls with a bit of monster thrown in rather than the stereotyped sickly, candy-striped pinkness of Barbie and her mates. Fav!
Trying to figure out where this is...what a riot! You best be careful, as some day, I have a feeling that the tides will change :)
Creative idea - Love it!
Such a fun shot. Really made me laugh. I think they look like typical models--a little broody!!!! They are such beautiful little girls. HOpe they got their dolls.
LOL- love how neither of them is looking at you. very familiar with the monster high dolls, bought a few at Christmas, last one, too. in fact, they can be quite difficult to find around here. photo is tooooo funny. fav.
I LOVE their expressions!! You have the most beautiful daughters, Jerry. And yes, I can tell that they aren't that thrilled about "posing" for Dad. But this is just wonderful.
The poor wee things, what an imbarressing Dad move!! So did they get a new doll each for their prize?? And what is that thing in the background?! Ever so cute a shot though, and I love the dark glasses to help them hide behind.
Q--what program/action are you using to get these great street-y gray overtones? I love it. I use Color Efex Pro, but haven't found a good preset that would be similar to this.
@cmc1200 I use PS, No action. Open your original pic and make two more copies in layers. click on the middle and desaturated it. click on the third and change it to soft light. Its that easy!
@swilde Thanks, Sue!! They were!
