Have you ever taken a magnet through the and at the playground when you were a kid? This is a macro shot of a pile of "magic dust" on a sheet of paper with a magnet under neath! I use to love this stuff as a small boy! ...and still do!

This is cool! We had this toe thing inside a plastic case...on the back side of the plastic was cardboard with a clown face...then there was a "magic wand" with magnet in the end. You moved the shavings around, but it was clean since it was encased.
@orangecrush OMG..yes! As I was typing that description, I was wondering why it had a clown ( or was it a hobo?or a clown hobo? Lol) in there? But it was to make his beard and hair. And now kids have video games...they would crack up at our old toys.
Cool idea and shot. Playing with iron filings and magnets is great fun. Photography, like having kids, is a wonderful excuse to re-visit all the stuff we enjoyed when we were kids!
Yes! I thought of a paintbrush at first! But...I had that toy as well, and I remember those metal flakes being so tiny. Great macro! And-- my choice for his look--large beard and no hair!
