My old, old walking boots are really worn. They've walked so many miles over the years and in all kinds of weather (especially boggy, living in Wales).
Walking is so important to happiness - I could never live in the city - I've tried and have been miserable. You live in such a beautiful area - what a treat to be able to get out and about in it, and to bring your baby with you! You saw one of my last pictures - we still have to carry our 4 year old "baby" when we go uphill - she's at that age where she's too heavy to really be doing that anymore, but too little to really make it up the hill. Ah well, just getting kids outside is so important.
The wear and tear on these boots can only reflect the many happy miles and wonderful places you have been to, as your pictures on the 365 project present so well! Good imagination in choosing this as your subject matter for your shot of the day......
