Ready steady ...

First attempt at light painting, challenge set by Jan, my get pushed partner this week. This is the only shot I took, but will definitely try some more, as I find this one a bit plain. Still pleased though as I've never done this before.
@jan20 this is a fun challenge, thanks!

Clever you! I wouldn't know how to begin

@lleo I used a shutter speed of 15 seconds, an aperture of 8, ISO 100, manual focus, a very dark room and a led light. The painting can start :-)

Like, lots. How did you get all the lines in the letters?
December 3rd, 2014
@bill_fe that's because of the long exposure and the type of light I used, a led light of I think six columns of dots.

@annied I used a shutter speed of 15 seconds, an aperture of 8, ISO 100, manual focus, a very dark room and a led light.

So what did you paint with to give the texture? Great shot - and a challenge I want to take up too!
December 10th, 2014
@dailydelight I used a led light (torch) with I think six columns of dots, so that's the texture created by the long exposure.
