I love this. I actually looked at your album yesterday. Often I like to look at the album and sort of ruminate on ideas in the back of my minds. Sometimes it actually works. The first thing that struck me is that you seem to be in a monochrome period. It's the holidays. Now I don't know your religion so if I am offending I apologize. But if you would accept I would love a bright cheery seasonal picture with this adorable one would be over the top.
Lovely portrait with great light and focus on the right eye, with an aperture of F/1.8 you will never get both eyes in focus in an angled shot. Focus on the closest eye works best I think, maybe I would have left some more room on the left and cropped on the right to place the focus point out of the middle.
Outstanding portrait, tells us the story of the "sniffles" ;-) For what little it might be worth, I also appreciate that the closest eye is the one in focus, not having both in focus is as Leon pointed out, a result of aperture setting of f/1.8.
