I was preparing dinner when the boys came in, full of energy. 'Can we have googly eyes please?' 'Do you have a felt pen?'. They left and I heard nothing for a while, until they came back in again. 'Mummy, come look at our scare crow!'
They had put a box on a garden tool and drawn a funny face on the box with googly eyes. The mud was to secure the scare crow from falling. I asked what the scarecrow did in our garden. 'He scares the birds away. And the snails!'
And then Sep said: 'I'm the scare crow and you're the bird.' And he put his head in the box and screeched. Lev fluttered away, scared. Oh, what fun they had.
