Get pushed this week, set by Jay, is an image with an creative angle (Dutch angle, low angle, high angle) to take a different view of your subject.
I chose Dutch angle as I haven't done that before. Well not intentionally. Wikipedia says: 'The Dutch angle, also known as Dutch tilt, canted angle, or oblique angle, is a type of camera shot where the camera is set at an angle on its roll axis so that the shot is composed with vertical lines at an angle to the side of the frame, or so that the horizon line of the shot is not parallel with the bottom of the camera frame. This produces a viewpoint akin to tilting one's head to the side.
In cinematography, the Dutch angle is one of many cinematic techniques often used to portray psychological uneasiness or tension in the subject being filmed.'
I experimented with the tilt, the slight angle here in this image, worked better than the other, steeper one I had taken.
brilliantly framed by the bare branches with their mirror arch shape to that of the stones. Dutch angle is great for this subject and works really well.
Wat staan die zerken nog mooi in het gelid. Ik heb ooit eens op onze begraafplaats ze gefotografeerd. Gebroken en verzakt. Met als motto : Tijd heeft vat op alles. Niet gedeeld.
Well done!
