Lance On Red Devil

This is a filler, because nothing I see around me today pleases my homesick eyes like a picture of my "baby Brother" Lance is 12 years younger than me, and one of the primary delights of my life, but he lives with my Mom, 1300miles from me, so we talk on the phone a lot, but see each other a lot less than I'd like.

A blog I once wrote about him is here

What a great picture and he is wearing a DENVER BRONCO's jacket! YAY! That horse's tack bugs me, I want to fix it!

Family always makes me feel better too since I live far away from all of them. I read your blog about you brother and I especially loved the picture of him where he's riding this horse as it's being led by a handler. The look of complete joy on his face is heartwarming.

Love this photo, Dixie! I read your blog, and it's so heartwarming! What a great sister you've been to him, as I'm sure he's been a great brother to you!

@scrappy @hoosierhokie @sparkleplenty1 @kerristephens @mrssmith Thank you for being so consistent at looking and commenting and making me feel in touch with people from all over the world. It is really a fun and wonderful place to share thoughts and dreams and hopes and family.

I am a firm believer in the thought that every 365 project should have pictures of those you love- so this is a great shot of a great brother. My cousin's daughter is Down's. They told Barbara after the test that she should abort the baby because "it" would be "useless". She aborted giving her business to that doctor to term and found another doctor who believed in the sanctity of life. Thoroughly enjoyed your blog!

@olivetreeann Ann, my heart almost stopped when I read what you wrote until I re-read and saw the fact that it was the business that the aborted. While I don't believe anyone should have to be raised by parents who don't want them, I know that there are unexpected gifts in raising a child with complications you didn't ask for, and joy and heartache as with raising any child

This is so heartwarming and beautiful, Dixie. Fantastic photo of him! There is nothing like family and your blog was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this with us.

@pandorasecho oh yes- the business! My cousin was highly offended that the doctor thought the baby was useless because she wasn't perfect. As you know there is more to anyone than what meets the eye. And Hannah can be both trying and delightful. But in every way she is a gift from God.
