Driftwood carved with chainsaws is a local art form, and this piece, in the harbor sits on an observation platform in view of Battery Point Lighthouse.
I seem to have about a 5* comfort zone anymore, so after all my whining about grey skies and rain, I loved the sunny weekend, but all night I was muttering about how it was too hot to sleep
“Magic
Sandra’s seen a leprechaun,
Eddie touched a troll,
Laurie danced with witches once,
Charlie found some goblins gold.
Donald heard a mermaid sing,
Susy spied an elf,
But all the magic I have known
I've had to make myself.”
― Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends
oh, i am sitting here laughing, not at you but with you. either i am freezing or i am taking my clothes off. never, ever satisfied. my husband even had me talk to my doctor about it because he did not like how warm i keep the house. she told him to take HIS clothes off or get a new wife. i loved it.
@catsmeowb I know, when I lived in Wyoming we had 50 below zero wind chill factor days and 105 above days and I was Ok with it all, but This mild coastal living spoils me
Love her sitting there with the view behind .. makes a beautiful silhouette! that poem is so cute ...had to laugh at your "sleeping" problem. I'm a strange "duck!" Love cool-warm days and COLD nights for sleeping. So your problem isn't unusual, Dixie. :)
