“Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends.”
― Aberjhani, The River of Winged Dreams
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Gold is hard to find and difficult to photograph, and valuable but not as treasured by me as the young men who gave this to me for Christmas two years ago
dixie, you are a treasure and worth more than any amount of gold. as your friend, i feel that way about you. very nice and poignant photograph. i love it especially for its intrinsic value.
I know what you mean- the gifts are always sweet and bring back wonderful memories. But even more special are the children (they'll always be our children, won't they?) who gave them to us. It's such a privilege to watch them grow into adults we are proud of and cherish. Lovely, and loving shot.
How pretty
