The taste of remembering

In Feb of 1997 my Dad Died of cancer, and in May of the same year my kids "daycare Grandpa" dropped dead during his stress test on the hospital treadmill. That summer we planted 2 fruit tress, one for each grandpa. My Dad's plum tree died but two new trees sprang from the roots and produce a lot, Papa Dale's pear tree grew slowly but never produced and I figured the climate was too rainy, but this year thee were 12 of these to remember him by.
what a nice tribute!

What a nice way to remember them. My husband's grandmother gave us a bit of money when we moved into our house "to buy something for the yard". We bought a forsythia bush and every spring when it's covered in blooms we think of her.
