MLK Jr Day by pandorasecho

MLK Jr Day

Children of different color laying down together on the red hill. Not exactly right for the words of the speech but Pitt Bulls are discriminated against too and some show pretty clearly how to return love even after receiving abuse
This is a lovely photo of the dogs. I don't agree with pitbulls being bred however, their innate nature is not trustworthy!

I Think that it is the human who has an untrustworthy nature and most mean dogs are trained and hurt and abused to become that way. These two are loving, gentle and playful and might lick you too much to be called well behaved but will love you. @maggiemae @sarasdadandmom and the black one was rescued when it was meant to be destroyed by a pot grower who was disappointed that she wouldn't be mean

Thanks Dixie. I also work hard to put pits bad rap down to rest. These two look like snuggle babies. Rock on !

@traceyhn They are marvelous. We have a Sad/wonderful story about a cruelly abused Pit here, he had to have both legs amputated to save his life, the uses a wheelchair and walks and loves people, and is quite the ambassador in spite of having every reason to be mean https://www.facebook.com/RollOnLondon

I follow him on Facebook ! Great story. I was saddened this past few days by the deaths of Laura & Kringle. Both super sad stories but knew great love in their final days.

@traceyhn I live in Crescent City, the town where London was first injured, and as a teacher for close to a quarter Century, I knew a lot about the people involved. Panda Paws rescue is an amazing place though.

I've learned enough about Pit bulls first hand (a good friend has one who is a pussy cat in pit bull disguise!) to know they have to be trained to respond that way. So I'm not surprised to these two being cozy together. Cute shot!

Beautiful photo and so well stated in your narrative. So many sad stories about them being abused. One of our neighbors has one - he's as gentle as a lamb.
