Remembering the days when the mailbox had more cards and letters than it did bills and flyers. I reached into an old box thinking there were some things I could throw away, and I pulled out letters from when we lived in China, and In South Dakota in Custer State Park the summer we got married, 1984 - letters from family long dead, like Grandma and my cousins. Suddenly I was reading and laughing and wiping tears.
I always wondered what I saved them for. I guess it was for today.
