Grandpa wanted pecan pie but Miss Daisy insists you can’t sing happy birthday 🎂 without a birthday cake so the compromise was a sliver of cake for her from Safeway to be candled and sung over and then a pie.

I think Miss Daisy is on to something- I'm pretty sure I've only heard of birthday cake and not birthday pie, but the compromise seems to have worked out quite well for the birthday boy!
