my daughter-on-law's sister has a fiancé who is battling ALL. I bought one of the bright orange, bracelets to show support. five days after putting it on, I had a burn and blisters. This picture is from 5 days after I took it off. The other people sporting the bracelets have no problem. My theory, un accompanied by any proof, is that maybe I'm allergic to latex? The day I gave birth to my son, 20 years ago, I became allergic to raw banana. A bite of it makes my mouth go numb. The Dr. said then that that could be a latex allergy. If so, it too 20 years to see any other sign of it.
Yes- I think the latex allergy theory is a good one! I have a friend who was a nurse and she has to get a certain of lab glove because of she's allergic to latex. I guess you'll have to get a bright orange ribbon and pin it to your coat instead. I hope that clears up soon- but way to take one for the cause!
