Never understood why my grandma wasn't sad about only having this little tree, but now that I'm a grandma, I gave in to the temptation to do it easy last year, and liked it just fine. Thus year the real evergreen is back but it was nice to not even open the ornament boxes last year.
I have one of these little ceramic trees... Haven't gotten it out this year. Guess I should. A friend of my Mother's made it for me years and years ago.
