In Gold Beach Oregon there is a sad wrecked ship registered on the historic register. The Mary D Hume sits on the river bottom and the tides rise and fall and I have been watching her decay for forty years but she has hauled logs, been a whaler and endured the longest recorded whaling trip to the Arctic (6 years) and then been a tug boat.
