Today a friend and I paid a visit to my brother. He's resting at Riverside National Cemetery and Wednesday Sept 26 is his birthday. I can't get over there on Wednesday, so today was the day.
After placing some flowers and visiting for a short time, we made our way out toward the main entrance where there is a pond and a fountain. The pond has ducks and I love ducks. :-)
They were all over on the bank on the far side when we arrived, but I was hoping that they were accustomed to being fed and would make a bee-line for us. Haha. They did not disappoint, although I'm afraid we did disappoint them.
Once again I have to say how much I hate my camera. Most of the time all I could see on the screen was a reflection of my blouse. Grrrr!
I snapped at least 20 pics and hoped that ONE would look decent. This one is just that: decent. Oh well.
I liked the variety of coloration on the ducks and this captures some of that. See the 'blond' in the background?
I thought they had gooses, but none were to be found. Only duckies. Cute little guys.
