Stripes by pasadenarose

Stripes

This was not my intended target. My plan was to get another (better) shot of the pink flowering tree from Oct 14.
No parking was to be had nearby, so I had to park 2 blocks away. When I got out of my car, I saw the landscape plantings and my plan immediately changed. I took at least 30 photos of two of the large plants. One was a yucca, of the same variety posted by @webfoot on Oct 9, 2012. The other was this, which I also suspect is a yucca, considering the similar imprint on the leaves. I was attracted by the way the long blades bent and swirled, resembling striped snakes. This plant is over 4 feet tall and maybe 8 to 10 feet wide.
@webfoot
This is a yucca, yes?

I have a feeling it's in the yucca or aloe family.
