Today was not a good day. Actually, today's not-good-day started Wednesday night on the drive home from work. I stopped at the grocery store, all was good.
Planned on taking the long way home afterward to stop and see (and hopefully shoot) a street that has all the trees on the block strung with lights.
Well...my car had other ideas. When I came back out from the store and started her up, things got ugly. The engine warning light came on and it was running REALLY rough. Oh crap.
I pondered and then decided against calling a tow truck. It was after midnite and they'd just have to tow me home, and then what? Call them the next day to tow it to my mechanic? Eh.
I only had about 6 miles to go, and of course I opted to stay on streets and not take the freeway.
So that was Wednesday night. Today she limped along to the mechanic which is very close to my home. I didn't like the look on the mechanic's face when I told him her symptoms, but I won't get a diagnosis until Friday.
Anyway, had to rent a car to get to work today and this is it.
It's just a photo of a CAR. BORING. So I played a tiny bit with HDR in Picasa, and that spiffed it up a little.
Yeah, it's just a car, but it was my day.
Love how you 'spiffed' it up lol! Have to say cars don't do it for me either, not even new ones..... But give me a new dress or new heels and, well...... that's a different story! Hope your car is fixed soon and doesn't cost the earth!
Your car looks beautiful and love the Perspective you shot. I do feel your pain. Yesterday I received the news that my broken tractor needs the equivalent of open heart surgery :(
Oh goodness what a day (well dayS) you had! But atleast it didn't bonk out ok the highway.... Phew! Bummer though about the car. Very nice processing on this shot and POV! Hope you get good news today!
You poor thing! I can't imagine the sinking feeling you must have been having... I hope the car is easily and inexpensivly fixed! Loved how you turned this into a nice photo op though! Way to keep your sense of humor!
Your day sounds like mine only we went to the park to feed the ducks very close to home. Had an oil change the other day and we were told that the hard start is the fuel pump and when the check engine light comes on permanently it has to be replaced. As of today it is on permanently. Gotta hate cars sometimes. I hope all goes ok. I am hoping we do not have to rent a car and our son can help us out during the week. I hope this does not cost what I think ours will. Best of luck. Love your shot.
