I glanced at my calendar view and noticed a big blank spot on Feb 22. Oh my! This will never do, so I went scrambling through my photos to see what I had taken on that day and this was the best I could come up with. A crummy shot of a pretty and very unusual flower.
Lovely shot. I think you'll find they are Phaedranassa, a bulb from South America. If you click Google Images I think you'll find many different varieties there. They are very pretty.

I clicked through at least a dozen pages of images and was unable to find a variety that had the dark blue edges that this one has, but it is definitely the same flower.
