What a wonderful bit of history! I had no idea the girls had lived with the family in a parsonage! Such a beautiful church and so nice to see the clock keeping perfect time!
@Weezilou Thanks Louise all seemed to be in perfect order from the clock to the bells and organ, I waited for the morning service to end before going inside:)
@peterlgrave Ha Ha Peter I used to be a choir boy at our village church and the services seemed to last for ever, I only joined the choir as you got paid half a crown/ two shillings and six pence for singing at a wedding, lol:)
@onewing Thanks Babs just picked a good day, I was in the graveyard to get this perspective meet a couple checking the stones, talking to them turned out they were after information on the mans ancestor's they were in the UK for the next 5 weeks, they were both Australians from Flinders in Victoria:)
@suesouthwood Ha Ha my wife may well have been in it Sue, she was in all the ones that were open and spending money whistle I struggled to walk up it and get some shots:)
Haworth always reminded me of consumption because of the damp and bleakness, but you have picked a beautiful day to visit.
